In the Warhammer World mighty armies march to war heralded by blaring trumpets and pounding drums. Knights in shining armour crash into regiments of bloodthirsty warriors, while archers darken the sky with arrows. Powerful war machines belch forth death with ear-splitting fury, while great heroes on fantastic monsters sweep into combat, turning the tide of battle and saving your kingdom.

Warhammer is set in a fantasy world where you can control a wide variety of armies, from the human realms of the mighty Empire and the chivalrous land of Bretonnia, to the hordes of Orcs that reside in the forests and mountains of the world, or the insidious ratmen known as Skaven whose vast tunnel-empire lies below the enclaves of other civilisations.
